About Houston Bed Bug Heaters

Houston Bed Bug Heaters is a one-owner business that rents bed bug heat equipment across the Houston metro. I take the call, I load the truck, I deliver the equipment to your door, and I show you how to run it before I leave. You do the treatment yourself, and I come back for the equipment when you are done.

Call (832) 791-0324 and describe your rooms. You will be talking to the person who delivers the equipment.

What This Page Covers

Who runs this business, what equipment you are actually renting, why the training on delivery day matters more than the equipment itself, and what this business is not.

One Owner, One Truck, and Why That Is the Point

There is no dispatcher, no call centre, and no rotating crew. The person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.

That is a practical point, not a sentimental one. When you call, you describe your house: how many bedrooms, what era it was built, how much is stored in the rooms, whether it is a house, a townhome or an apartment. That conversation decides how much equipment you need and how you sequence the rooms, and detail gets lost when the person taking the call is not the person who has to make the delivery work.

It also means that when you call about something that is off, a room climbing slower than it should, a breaker that keeps tripping, you are calling the person who knows exactly which equipment is in your hallway, because I put it there.

Calls are answered during Mon–Fri 9:00am–6:00pm · Sat–Sun 9:00am–2:00pm, and it is worth asking on the booking call how to reach me during your own rental.

What You Are Actually Renting

The equipment is commercial bed bug heat equipment: heaters, high-volume fans, heavy-duty cords, and temperature monitoring so you can see what the room is doing rather than guessing.

The physics is worth understanding before you rent anything. Bed bugs die at temperature. Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension puts the thermal death point at 118°F for adults and nymphs and 122°F for bed bug eggs.

A room treatment runs the ambient air well above both, typically around 135°F, held for four to five hours, so the mattress core, the box spring, the frame and the baseboards reach lethal temperature, not just the air in the middle of the room.

That is the whole advantage over a spray. A spray has to find and wet each insect and still misses the eggs. Temperature reaches into the seams and cracks where they live.

Note the numbers there. Four to five hours at temperature. The 24 hours you hear about is the rental period, how long the equipment is with you, not how long the treatment runs.

Why the Training Is the Actual Product

Both of the customers who have written about this business said the same thing, and neither mentioned the equipment. They talked about the delivery and the instructions.

That tells you what people are really buying. Almost nobody who calls has run heat equipment before. They are not worried the heater will not get hot, they are worried they will do it wrong and waste the day.

So delivery is not a drop-off. I carry the equipment in, position the first room with you, and walk you through it: where the heaters go, where the fans go and why airflow matters more than raw output, how to run cords to separate electrical circuits so you do not trip a breaker halfway through, how to read the temperature monitoring, and what to do if a room is coming up slower than it should.

Most people are comfortable in about ten minutes. Nobody gets left with equipment they do not understand.

What Changes From One Job to the Next

No two houses in this metro heat the same way.

Room Count

One or two bedrooms is a manageable afternoon. A whole house is a long day, better run over an extended rental than crammed into one.

Electrical Capacity

Older Houston housing, much of the inner loop and older Sugar Land streets, often runs a 100-amp panel, which limits how much equipment can run at once. Newer construction toward Katy, Cypress and Richmond handles more and holds heat better.

Clutter

This is the one that decides outcomes. Boxes and bags stacked against walls and floors never reach lethal temperature. Bed bugs survive in exactly those places, and a treatment that misses them has not worked.

Property Type

Apartments, duplexes and mobile homes each bring their own complications: shared walls, wall voids, and neighbours whose units may also need treating.

What This Business Is Not

We are not a pest control company. We do not spray, we do not inspect for a fee, and we do not treat your home for you. We rent you the equipment and teach you to run it. If what you need is somebody else to do the work, hiring a professional is the right answer and we will tell you so on the phone.

We do not promise a result. A heat treatment kills what is present in the rooms that reach temperature. Whether that clears the whole house depends on how thoroughly the rooms were prepared and how much was in the way, which is why the preparation matters more than anything we hand you.

Heat does not prevent bed bugs coming back. If they arrived on luggage or secondhand furniture, they can arrive the same way again. Anybody telling you otherwise is selling you something.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually delivers the equipment?

I do. It is a one-owner business, the person who answers the phone loads the truck, sets the equipment up with you and comes back for it. There is no crew and no subcontractor, which is deliberate: the person who took your room count is the person who has to make the delivery work.
